2nd February 2014: Charity Metal gig
Beginning of February will see four bands under one roof at trekkers nite club here in Gaborone as they lock horns raise money for the unprivileged to be identified in the near future.
20th December 2013: Woodstock Festival at Maun
Mr. Tops of Trekkers saw it fit to put all Botswana bands and an International bands 11th Hour from South Africa under one roof . The theme of the event to take two consecutive 2 days is Rock against Women and Child abuse.
25th November 2013: Rockcember Metal Fest
Stane would like to confirm to their beloved and loyal brutal fans that it will take part in the upcoming metal fest dubbed Rockcember at Mopipi Bar next weekend. The event will host 4 metal bands from Botswana.
1st August 2013: Augustus Metal Festival
After such a massive and successful fest at morwa, the staners are again billed to appear this month at Augustus hosted by Wrust at Bull n Bush. This year's show which is an annual event organized by wrust, we will also see two south African death metal giants sharing the stage right here in Botswana, Gaborone (Boargazm & Bleeding Spawn). Its an event never to miss. The show will attract other local bands from all coners of the country.
11th June 2013: Last Breath Madness Festival
STANE will once more organise their most loved festival by the end of July this year. This years theme is taking metal to the people, the show will be hosted at Morwa village along A1 road, this makes it the first ever show to take place at that place. The band used to play a lot at Mochudi Jazz Brew some years back which is just few kilometres away from where the festival will be held. We believe that the show will attract a lot of rockers from the near by villages and from town which is also a few kilos away. So Bakgatla be ready metal is coming to your village.
30th March 2013: Metal Fest- STANE album lanch
Join us as we celebrate the launch of a new album by STANE, this event will take place at Gaborone West Community Hall starting at 8PM till wee hours of the morning. The album is a must to have as it now shows the kind of music the band is promising to their beloved fans. The album contains 11 songs in total and its a must to have. The line up for the day is: STANE, METAL ORIZON, SKINFLINT, VITRIFIED & EVAGREN. The album is already on sale as we speak it costs only P20 and P25 pula outside gabs. 10 January 2013: Mixing & Mastering of the album
Finally the band has just finished mixing and mastering of their album and is expected to be launched by end of march in Gaborone, a couple of shows will follow to promote the album around the country and neighbouring countries if things goes well as planed. Another destination will be in Gantsi in May.
20th August 2012: Recording Studio
The maintainers are buzy on the studio working on their upcoming album which is expected to be launched before the end of the year. More information about the album wil be revealed soon but it has been confirmed that the album will have 11 songs in total. The band promise their supporters that its a must to have the record.
20th September 2011: Club Catch 22 Host Last Breath Madness
The moment we have been waiting for has finally arrived. This years event will be see the battle of the following bands: STANE, CRACKDUST, REMUDA, OVERTHRUST, DUST & FIRE and RIDDARE av KODDEN which is a death melodic band based in Johannesburg SA. 19th September 2011: RIDDARE av KODEN coming to Botswana.
Riddare av Koden is a South African melodic death metal band from Secunda, formed in October 2006 by brothers Nathan and Daniel Wilson. Formerly known as Elegy, the band had to change its name in November 2009 due to breach of copyright law and were threatened with legal action if the name was not changed. They then became known as Riddare av Koden, when translated from Swedish means "Knights of the Code", and currently perform and release under that name.
Riddare av Koden is musically influenced by a range of Bands and Artists over many different music genres. Their music has often been described as hard-hitting guitar driven Melodic Death Metal with Power Metal and Folk Metal characteristics.
With the adoption of Keyboards in 2010 and the noticeable orchestral introductions of certain tracks with occasional Classical and Folk instruments during live performances, the band has been described as having Neoclassical elements included in their music and more of a Folk Music feel too.

6th September 2011: Last Breath Madness Metal Festival
Metal revelers will celebrate 2nd Anniversary dubbed Last Breath Madness, scheduled for the 29th October 2011 in Gaborone Botswana. Last Breath Madness is an event that started in 2010 featuring Stane and other local rock bands and is wholly organized and sponsored by the band.The event provides the bands with a platform to showcase their talent, sell their merchandise and CD’s.
The event was well received by local rockers hence the band decided to make it an annual event. This year’s festival features all major influential local bands, thus making it the biggest festival ever. Rumours has it that we are likely to see an International band headlining the event. Confirmation from the band has been received but yet they still have to sort out expired traveling documents for one of the members. More information will follow soon.
12th August 2011: Rock The Nation Live vs Metalheads Botswana Launch
Since Gantsi winter fest, the Staners are in the studio working hard to complete some of their latest offering including songs like Run for your life, Blaze with fire and Fallen Heros. Those who attended Stane last gig at Tlokweng early July know what am talking about it.
STANE will be back with full force a week before indepedence day at ROCK THE NATION LIVE fest in Orapa 24th September. Metalheads Botswana (boteti chapter) is also expected to be lauched at the same event, so many activities will be in the line up. Rock the nation is one of its kind as it will house all rock bands across the country. The event is expected to start at 1400 hrs untill wee hours of the morning.
A ticket costs P80, those who would like to attend the gig make sure you book for gate passes well in advance to avoid any mishaps.

25th May 2011: Gantsi Winter Metalmania Festival
Gantsi WinterFest: The guys are expected to take Gantsi by storm this weekend, those around the town don't miss as it will be their first ever show biled for 28th May and right in the capital city of the kgalagadi desert. Next time i wish the organisers of this event can do it right in the sand dunes near by.
Supporting acts include new kids on the block Wraith, Skeltal Saints and Overthrust who are the organisers of this huge event. Other bands expected to drive the pit crazy and make the night warm inlcude the likes of Wrust, One man Death Band Vitrified (watch out for this guy), Crackdust which is a split band from wRust, so shit its expected to happen be there and see for yourself. We count on you.
May 2011: Slayar Migrate to Palapye:
Again The Bassist, Vocalist and Sound Engineer Slayar migrate to palapye which is 270km away from our studio, where we do rehersals. But this wont stop Stane from doing what they like most. Stane will always maintain as is our motto. In 2008 he was transfered to Gheto then after a year or so he returned back to gabs. While the band was now on track with all members in one area then suddenly another transfer to Palapye. Damn...
15th March 2011: The re-breath : dvd release party:
STANE, a five-piece Afro Heavy Metal band based in Gaborone will be launching their debut DVD on the 26th March 2011. The gig, titled “The Re-Breath”, will be held at Gaborone Civic Center, featuring other three rock heavyweights Wrust, Crackdust and Amok.
The footage in this DVD was captured last year in October in yet another successful festival that was titled “Last Breath Madness Metal Festival”. The DVD consists of one music video and four selected live tracks from their previous album “maintainers of brutality”. This DVD is going to capture the ear of many unsuspecting listeners, hungry for an authentic sound.
As seen at last breath madness, the event will be broadcast on a big screen and expect to see heavy sound, massive lighting effects with lots of smoke. Management take this opportunity to send warm appreciation to all who made this project a success especially our sponsors Kudu communications, Air Metallica Sheet metal works, Eastcoast graphics and big up to our platinum sponsor TshukSel Plus Investment. Le ka moso.
STANE, comprising Slayar (bass guitar and vocals), E-Force (lead guitar), T’X (guitar), Stranjar (guitar) and Ace (drums), intends to have a country tour in promotion of the DVD. The tour will start in Ghanzi where the band will share the stage with 10 other rock bands from all corners of the country on the 28th May 2011.

9th February 2011: DVD LAUNCH
Preparations are well under way as we prepare for this big event to be held at Gaborone Civic center Saturday, 26th March 2011. Supporting bands include CRACKDUST, AMOK & WRUST. Tickets will be on sale before the end of month .
1st February 2011: COMPLIMENTS OF THE NEW YEAR
Compliments of the new season, Staners are back from the festive and much lately they have been in the studio making some new songs. Expect some melodic heavy riffs this time. I getz most of you are aware that last year October Stane shot a successful live video at Civic Center right in the city of Botswana, Gaborone. Guys the video footage is being taken care of, I mean it is under intense editing and it will be officially launched on the 26th March 2011, the time is 2000hrs and hey the venue remains the same (check gig guide for more info) as the place provides a friendly and conducive indoor enviroment for the band and our supporters.
Stane management is spending sleepless nights to make sure that the launch becomes a big success. In the coming video expect live tracks and a single video. Just like in our last gig expect even massive sound and lighting effects, you know we never disappoint when it comes to this area, should also expect to see more effects projected on a large screen.
30th October 2010: Last Breath Madness Metal Festival
The Staners will be shooting their video at Last Breath Madness following many request from their supporters, To make the mosh go wild, be there and be part of the fun. Other supporting bands include our local death metal band from gabs machines of hate "Wrust", dust from letlhakane "Dust & Fire, amokian loards from moshupa "Amok" and lastly the big guys from North "Metal Orizon" - this is one hell of a band which have survived regardness of obstacles through out their career, its a band that has influenced many emerging groups from all corners of country, Ups to You Guys.

21st October 2010: Last Breath Metal Madness:
Stane brings you Last Breath Metal Madness this rocktober, this festival is gona be unique and the first one ever in the history of botswana metal where there will be lots of multi-lights, stage effects which will be projected on a large screen which will also act as our background, still on that fog machines are going to be used on stage to add more spice to the evening. As we speak professional tickets are on sale in advance and its amazing how fast these guys are buying them. I believe no one wants to be left behind because we will be recording forever memories which will be seen on our video to be released next year.
A high definition video clip has been created so far to advertice this gig and i thik it will be added to most social networks like facebook, youtube and others just to spread the news. 09th October 2008: CrackDust Launch and Rock Against Aids Festivals
Expect some real shit coming your way this season as Stane lauches CrackDust , the band has been underground since it was formed in 2006, they have released a single [Deranged Psychopath] plus a video in 2006 and a 16 track Album [Dented Reality] end of 2007.The band is ready to blow your minds out.
The festival is a must to attend as these guys really mean business. Those who were at Woodstock festival know what i am talking about. The band appeared for their first time to unleash the dust and they are now ready to take the world by storm, so watch this space for more information. 18th Sep 2008: UB Amphitheater
Woodstock Botswana has come and gone and If you were not part of the audience you will have to wait for next year as this will be an annual event according to the organisers and all i can tell you is you really missed loads of shit.
CrackDust started the show with a high note cracking the dust, this was their first show since the band was formed 2 years back. Other bands followed including RhutZ which drove the pit crazy like nobodies business. If you have listened to SlipKnot then you know RhutZ.
Other news from Ivo, local bands will share the stage with Nosey Road at Ub on the 4th of Oct. Bands to appear include Stane, Skinflint, Wrust and The Substance. Be there all metal heads
4th September 2008: Sound Of Hope brings RhutZ to Woodstock Botswana
This weekend at G-North(old quad track, phakalane estate), it will be happening again as we see rock bands coming together to raise money for the disadvantaged. All are encouraged to come and be part of the charity show. Your presence can make a change. The show organised by sound of hope and Nosey Road will commence at 1300 hrs till 2400 hrs. All proceeds go to sponsor a child foundation

We are likely to have a gig first week of september at G. North. Stane will share the stage with other popular rock bands in Botswana. Time will be communicated as soon as posible, after everything is confirmed.

Stane will pay a visit to Radio Botswana(RB 1) this coming weekend 28th June at 1200 hrs, the purpose of the tour is to promote their show which will be later that evening at The Shebeen, so stay tuned and come in large numbers as usual.
19th June 2008: End of Month Gig
Stane is back again this winter at the Shebeen, so if you wanna keep your body hot all night long don't hesitate to miss this one, this time Skinflint is in the line up to warm up the mosh pit and expect more stage lights than last gig, thats how staner's do it and enjoy it. 28th May 2008: Gig Confirmed
It has been finalised last night, Stane will share the stage with Jackson at The Shebeen this friday, those that have been into music know Jackson, this is one of the guys who once played for a group called Headless Cross. Still on that , Brooks (Rock DJ) will also be there to warm up the pit before the gig start. See You There Guys.
27th May 2008: Old Club Havana To Host STANE
I have just received an update from one of the die hard metal brother that very soon we might see a couple of shows around the city, on that note we might see Stane doing their thing soon at the old club havana now called The Shebeen: Maruapula Shopping Complex

1st April 2008: Very Hectic In The Studio
Stane is very busy in the studio making up some new songs, and working very hard to come up with their first Demo after winter season, so expect fatal staff coming your way and hopefuly stane new t-shirt might be ready too. They are still busy working on the artwork.

It will be the same day Stane will be having a show with metal orizon in Francistown to welcome him in the city.
25th March 2008: Arrival Of Mr E-Force
Finally the moment we have been waiting for has arrived, Lead guitarist of Stane has arrived in Bots to join the band full time, It was a great moment at the Air Airport, Rockers came in big numbers to welcome him home. His arrival is going to make a big difference as the band will start playing as a five piece. Slayar on Bass and Vocals, Stranjar on Guitars, T'x on Guitars, Ace on Drums and Mr E-Force on Lead guitars. All those around Gheto don't have to miss this gig scheduled for this weekend. It will be the first time Stane to play up north.
22nd March 2008: Return of Mr E-Force:
Its quite sometime not hanging around with this gentleman, he left to work in UK some years back, Now he will be back soon to join the band full time. Stane has been playing as a 4 piece band since then and those attending Francistown Gig expect something you had never seen before.....
